Human flourishing is our business.

Our focus

Why we exist

Much is expected of businesses today – outsized financial performance, exceeding consumer expectations, addressing expanding competition, winning and retaining customers. And yet, we know there is better, bolder impact to be made - in the real lives touched, in the communities engaged and impacted, and last but not at all least, to our collective, natural home. With all these (non-stop) demands, it can be difficult hold space and time to craft a vision grounded in an organizational promise that inspires and delivers: a positive future that can be imagined, seen, felt, tested, and brought to life. That is where we come in.

What we believe

We design for dignity, enriched relationships, healthy growth and joy. We believe financial organizations can support everyone’s monetary well-being, that health organizations can set people on a path to healing and living vibrantly, and that government agencies and NGO’s can help people achieve better, for more, through their work. We use human-centered, strategic design and innovation to cultivate experiences that build relationships, reduce harm, lift communities up, and achieve powerful business outcomes.

Impact Areas

Human-Centered Design

In today’s experience-driven economy, technology is central to our lives. Organizations are learning that, to drive innovation and deliver positive change, business must be centered on the needs of people people served. Human-centered design invites the end-user into the design process: to understand their challenges, emotions, and goals, and to be more effective at serving them.

Social Impact

Purpose-driven design focuses on ecosystems: the relationships and networks that will drive change and lead to social impact outcomes. It’s the unique strength of mission-driven organizations: customers, employees, and other stakeholders all share the common belief that, through ordinary actions, we can make a positive impact on society.

Whole Health

Helping patients through the maze that is the U.S. healthcare ecosystem is our job: by customizing and personalizing an experience that’s just right for the patient, to give them greater autonomy and control of their health. We all face systemic problems no single organization or technology can fix in isolation. Which is why we must transition away from the vicious cycles present in our health system today and design virtuous ones, together.

Financial Wellbeing

Profit maximization as the sole purpose of business subverts the role of business in our society. Businesses centered on improving people’s lives resonate more strongly with consumers. We help recapture the narrative that the purpose of business is to help people by helping organizations find the balance between business impact and social impact: developing purpose beyond profit.
